Apps¶
METIS is made of several independent pieces of functionality, each called an app. The shared core — people, organisations, and the holons that represent them — is always there; on top of it, each app adds its own features.
The current apps are:
- Coherence — conversations and the IRIS publishing pipeline.
- The Gathering — camps and local gatherings.
- Audax — quests and missions.
- Outreach — LinkedIn outreach.
Apps are independent: they can be worked on and used separately, and you don't need one to use another.
Different holons use different apps¶
Every holon belongs to one app, which decides what that holon can do and what appears on its page — a camp behaves differently from a conversation because they belong to different apps. This is why the same core CRM can host very different kinds of records.
What you see¶
Two things decide whether an app shows up for you:
- Access — some apps require permission to use; if you don't have it, the app's navigation won't appear. See Access & permissions.
- Focus — an app's navigation appears only when your current Focus actually has records for that app.
So an app can be hidden either because you lack access or because your current Focus has none of its records — see the two guides above to tell the difference.
