Participant Review Guide

If you took part in a recorded conversation, you'll receive a link asking you to review what will be published from it before it goes public. This guide is for you, the participant. (Staff running the conversation should see Using IRIS instead.)

You'll receive a personal link — by email, or by the channel you were contacted on (for example, Telegram). The link is unique to you: it opens your review page directly, so you don't need an account or a password. Just open it in a browser.

Review links expire after a while. If yours says it's expired or invalid, ask the person who sent it for a fresh one.

What you can review

Your review page shows what's planned for publication:

  • The hosted video (uploaded as unlisted — only people with the link can see it, it's not public yet).
  • The title and subtitle.
  • The thumbnail image.
  • Selected quotes from the conversation.
  • The LinkedIn post draft that will accompany it.

You can edit the LinkedIn draft right on the page — change the wording to something you're happy being associated with. Your edit is saved and attributed to you.

How the decision works

The message you receive names a publish-by date. You have until then to respond:

  • Happy with it? You can say so — no need to wait. If everyone confirms early, publishing goes ahead straight away instead of waiting for the date.
  • Do nothing? Publishing goes ahead on the publish-by date. Silence is treated as "no objection", which is why the date is always stated up front.
  • Not comfortable? Opt out on the review page. This stops publishing — not just your part of it — and it stays stopped until it's explicitly resolved with you. There is no deadline that overrides an opt-out.

You can open the link again before the date to change your mind.

If something looks wrong

If anything is inaccurate, misrepresents you, or you're simply not comfortable with it, opt out and reply to whoever sent you the link. Editorial control stays with the team running the conversation; this review exists precisely so you're not surprised by how you're represented.

After it's published

Once it goes live you'll get one more message with the public links — the video, and the LinkedIn post if one was published. You're welcome to reshare it, but nothing is posted from your own LinkedIn account: METIS never posts as you.
